The Matias Wired Aluminum Keyboard for Mac is for people who miss Apple's wired USB keyboard. Many people still like the reliability of a traditional USB 2.0 connection, with a two port USB 2.0 hub, numeric keypad, and classic aluminum frame and white keycaps. This keyboard by Matias is just as beautiful as the Apple one was, and has all the special Mac functionality you expect on the function keys.

The keyboard has one special function that improves upon the original Apple keyboard. There is a volume control dial on the top edge of the keyboard that gives you more precision in controling volume than using the keys; however, if you are a traditionalist, you can still control volume with keys on the Matias keyboard, just like the Apple one.

Modeled after Apple’s iconic aluminum keyboards, the Matias Wired Aluminum Keyboard looks & feels just as nice as the Apple originals. The built-in hub is great for connecting your favourite wired mouse (or wireless dongle) with a 2nd port available for plugging in flash drives, or other devices. Perfect for users with external speakers, the volume dial gives you MUCH finer volume control than you get from pressing volume keys — though it has those too. Specifically, the dial offers 64 volume levels, vs. 16 levels for the volume keys — 4x more precise. Just like an Apple keyboard, the function keys let you control screen brightness, volume, iTunes, and more. There’s even an Fn key, that lets you momentarily change the function keys back to their traditional duties, when you need them.
